The Phoenix Court project in Sheffield, worth £1.8 million, has now been completed by skilled Sheffield Builders. The Grade 1 listed former fire station has been transformed into 93 apartments over three floors, offering spacious and modern living options for tenants. The previous two-bedroom units were reconfigured into one-bedroom apartments with a lounge, providing a more versatile living space.

Due to the pandemic, occupancy levels had plummeted at Phoenix Court, which was previously used as student accommodation in the 1990s. However, Sheffield Builders saw the potential of the historic building and its prime location and transformed it into multi-purpose apartments that appeal to a wider range of tenants. The show apartments received great feedback and all 30 units were secured within just over a month of opening.

Phoenix Court's décor and layout had become dated and rental yields were below par for the area. However, with the efforts of Sheffield Builders, the building has been brought up to modern standards while retaining its historic charm. The result is a thriving multi-purpose building that offers attractive living options for a range of tenants in Sheffield.
